A powerflush is a process that is carried out by a central heating engineer to remove sludge in your central heating system that has built up in the boiler pipes and radiators.
When you have your system powerflushed the installer will connect a powerflush unit that sends water through your central heating system at a high velocity, will dislodge and mobilise deposits and corrosion, which can evade traditional system cleaning methods.
Once the corrosion, sludge, debris and dirt deposits have been loosend and mobilised, fresh water is then forced through the central heating system pushing and removing the contaminated water out via a dump valve to waste.
Radiators are individually flushed without the need to have remove them from the system , you do this by directing the full force of the pump through each individual radiator separately.
On completion of the process, the system will contain fresh clean water, and then you can reinstate the system to normal operation.
